MongoDB Trading Volume Surges 70.64% to $582 Million, Ranks 189th in Daily Volume

This surge placed MongoDB at the 189th position in terms of trading volume for the day. CEO Dev Ittycheria of MongoDB has announced his intention to sell up to 8,335 common shares through Merrill Lynch on the NASDAQ, as disclosed in a Form 144 filing with the SEC. This move comes as part of a pre-arranged trading plan under Rule 10b5-1, which allows insiders to sell shares at predetermined times to avoid accusations of insider trading.

Additionally, Dwight A. Merriman, a director and 10% owner of MongoDB, reported the disposal of 1,000 shares of Class A Common Stock on July 22, 2025. The transaction was executed at a price of $225 per share, leaving Merriman with 1,105,316 shares beneficially owned following the sale. This disclosure was made in a Form 4 filing with the SEC, which is required under Section 16(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The shares disposed of were held indirectly through the Dwight A. Merriman Charitable Foundation and The Dwight A. Merriman 2012 Trust, both of which are entities over which Merriman has voting and investment power but no pecuniary interest.
